- Coach Andy is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt under Coach Jeb. He is a former collegiate athlete with a strong work ethic and a passion for BJJ. These characteristics allow Coach Andy to instill a level of discipline and character into the Kid's Program and his teammates.
- Andy runs the day to day operations at the gym for both the youth and adult programs.
- Andy and Zack, with the help of the other coaches, formulate a fluid, but structured curriculum that enables all students from beginner to advanced to progress.
- Veteran competitor in Fight 2 Win, NAGA, WV Grappling Open, The Good Fight and several Jiu Jitsu competitions nationwide.
- WV Grappling Association voted #2 Grappler in the State of WV.
- Zack brings veteran competitor experience and the instructor ability to pass his knowledge along to other students.
- You can find Zack on the mats more often than most practitioners in the state of WV.
- Zacks best characteristic is that he has that dog in him, this enables him to take matches to deep waters. He enjoys bringing this out in his students while he teaches and coaches.
- Survived an 8 minute exhibition match with Nicky Rodriguez (by survive, we mean he didn't die, he was still submitted 3 times)
Jeb Tonkin- Black Belt

- Coach Jeb is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt under Phil Davis and Don Cunanan and is the first person to go from white belt to black belt under the two. He has comprehensive competition experience and close to a decade of teaching experience. Coach Jeb strives to produce an environment that not only produces high level grapplers but also extraordinary human beings.

- Coach Don is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and the first student to achieve the rank under Coach Jeb as well as the first Black Belt at Ground Zero Bridgeport. He is a hard worker who motivates his teammates and students to push themselves to achieve their maximum potential. Coach Don is an experienced competitor and a passionate instructor that brings out the best in his students.

- Head wrestling coach
- Coach Tony comes from a family of elite wrestlers, starting with his father. Tony boasts and impressive wrestling tenure as well as MMA and Jiu Jitsu competition experience.
- Coach Tony concluded his college wrestling career at Gannon with an impressive 54-35 overall record and a 21-12 Mark in dual competition from 2006-2011, which included nine pins. Tony concluded his college career with one of the best campaigns in school history with a winning percentage of 82%.
- Tony is the only Gannon wrestler in school history to earn All-American status as a 174lb wrestler during his junior season.
- Tony was also named a 3x Academic All-American and was named to the NWCA Academic All-American first team during his last two season.
- Tony brings an intellectual and aggressive approach to the mats, he has changed the "guard pulling" status in Bridgeport to a more wrestling oriented attacking system.
- "Father Time" has grown to be the most formidable force of GZ Bridgeport coaches. Tim mainly instructs on Tuesday and Thursday noon classes with Joe Kramar. Tim shows that age is just a number and anyone can train Jiu Jitsu and excel at it. We are thankful Tim is part of the program as he welcomes new students and teaches skills specific to "old man Jiu Jitsu" applications.
- Assistant Instructor
- Joe has a unique ability in memorization of techniques and the reapplication in a coaching atmosphere. Joe spends a lot of his free time viewing online technique videos and attending seminars in an effort to increase his Jiu Jitsu knowledge. Joe teaches the noon classes each week on Tuesday and Thursday as well as assisting with the kids and adults classes in the evenings.
- Women's only and Women's seminar class instructor.
- Kristien has been able to spear head the Women's only program and help it take flight. We have increased our women's enrollment nearly triple since Kristien started helping with the women's only program. Kristien is also one of our first female Purple belts from Bridgeport.
Nicholas Cottrill- Purple Belt
- Teens class and assistant youth class instructor
- Nick brings an element to Ground Zero that we strive for, he is one of our most inviting practitioners. Nick is able to work with Adults, Teens and Youth practitioners alike, making them all feel welcome at Ground Zero Bridgeport.
- Assistant youth class instructor and full time "Path to blue belt" instructor
- dedicated instructor with the desire to help students of all levels.
- Anthony is hard working, technical and driven while on the mats, he can be found napping while off the mats.
- Anthony also checks the box for "Italian Heritage" instructors at the gym.
